How to cook chicken fajita in stove..


 
Cooking chicken fajitas on the stove is relatively straightforward. Here's a simple recipe:

Ingredients..
  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Flour or corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, salsa, guacamole, chopped cilantro.

  • Instructions..

  • Prepare the Chicken and Vegetables:
  • Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
  • Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.

  • Make the Seasoning:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. 

  • Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the chicken strips to the skillet and sprinkle with half of the seasoning mixture.
    • Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly browned.
    • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

    • Cook the vegetables.

    • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed.
  • Add the sliced bell peppers and onions.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining seasoning mixture.
  • Cook the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender-crisp.
  • Combine Chicken and Vegetables:

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables.
  • Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat everything through.
  • Serve:

  • Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  • Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture in the tortillas.
  • Add your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, shredded cheese, salsa, guacamole, or chopped cilantro.
